Mk III Hulls 1 and 2 under construction

This is a three man shop, Boss and two men.

Day 1

Lofted the side and marked the stations for construction in the morning

The boys cut the plate and all the vertical frames for two boats

Day 2

Laying out and tacking the frames

All tacked out by lunch, should be stitch-welded by day end

One man out for the Afternoon

Day 3

Fully stitched, frames painted, second plate marked and cut

again, a man short due to snow storm

Day 4

Second Side Tacked in the morning for a half day's work

Day 5

Lining out the Channel Coolers

Day 6

Welding down the Channel Coolers

Day 7

Repeat for hull # 2

Day 8

Four sides, Eight Days, Two men and the Boss, and they still managed to tweak a fishing boat in the middle.

At this point a month long hiatus while other jobs are performed

Spring morning with modular sections stacked outside. Modular barge sections festooned with parts of Pushtug all waiting for assembly.

Manny sets up the automatic cutter And the Deckhouse lower unit goes together
Rainy day work. Upper Engine room, lunch room, cigarette deck gets a  nice radius
John gets his creative juices flowing
And after a hiatus;
 
John bangs home the shutter plate above, I confess I'm the shooter below
   
Rolling day finally arrives
   
It's nice to have pre-fabbed the big pieces
   
not to mention the little pieces
   
And pretty soon you have a harbor tug
