Fire Dog because she has a spotted history. The Fire Dog is a low cost Fire-fighting vessel for small harbor use. Deck Monitor, Aerial Waterway, boarding/stand-off ramp, and low height off the water are the salient features of this design. We have a good number of fishing boat fires here in the Harbor, and the City is not flush. Fire Dog is designed to be a low cost, locally built vessel that can fight ship-board fires with up to two types of Foam while protecting rafted vessels with a water curtain. Fire Dog has an aft hold for oil-boom, and a larger forward hold for additional boom or stores. Two water-tight bulkheads, twin outboard drive and big main diesel dedicated pump motor. Fire Dog will be an asset to any water front fire management plan.
